SEO Of Article Marketing - 4 Ways To Improve Your Article's Search Engine Rankings

If you are using article marketing to promote your online business, you must be aware that a few simple practices pertaining to search engine optimization can be done to significantly improve your article's effectiveness. Certain aspects of your article can be highly optimized, these include the title, the first couple of sentences, and then finally the bigger sections of the body

Let's take a look at four ways you can optimize your article for the search engines:

#1 - The title

The title is an important part of your article, for obvious reasons, but it is also important because the search engines see your title as the main indicator of whether or not your article has good content or not. Using a keyword in your title is a great way to improve your search engine optimization.

#2 - The first couple sentences

In order to further improve your article, insert the same keyword from the title into your first couple of sentences. By doing this, we improve the chances that Google will send someone to this article whenever they use that keyword in their search. It is also possible to use a variation of the keyword if it fits into the sentence better, as it is also important to ensure your reader isn't wondering what you are talking about.

#3 - The paragraphs

It is important to include a keyword or two in every paragraph, but it is also important not to overdo the keywords. There is a concept known as "keyword stuffing", which is now frowned upon because it looks like you are inserting keywords only to get better search engine rankings. The best technique is to use them sparingly when relevant, but not at the expense of keeping your content of the highest quality.

#4 - Avoid using product links in the article

While it won't hurt you to use live links in the article if they point to other relevant content related to your article, but if you are using links that point to affiliate products and other sales pages, it may hurt your search engine optimization strategies. The top article directories will allow you to use a link in the bio box at the end of the article, so use this as your opportunity to offer your reader the chance to check out other material. Keep the article body reserved for high-quality content, as this is the best way to make sure that your article stays high on the search engines and ultimately gets your the most traffic and leads.
